XootrGal Ronni's fave place to Xootr!

There are many fantastic places to scoot in Australia but this is near perfect. Beautiful smooth path, many restaurants on the way, and a beach at the end.

Taking the Xootrs up to Newcastle in the last school holidays was the best idea ever.

Why? Because the boardwalk on Honeysuckle Drive is the bomb for the Xootr.

The Hubby and our 12 year old really loved the Xootr trip from the Rydges Hotel to Nobby’s Beach. So easy to carry all their beach gear in a backpack, no troubles parking because you don’t have too. How good is that!!

Just flip the bad boy Xootr up, throw it over your shoulder and before you know it there you are sitting beachside, being pummeled by the waves and getting sand stuck in crevices of your body you wish you didn’t have. When you are 12, that is totes rad. For Dad, not so much, but you do what you do to make your child happy.

For me, Mum, well I like taking my Xootr Cruz on adventures of my own. I like the beach, don’t get me wrong. But I don’t like being there as long as my lads do.

One day I took the opportunity to take Xootr Cruz up past Nobby’s Beach all the way up to Nobby’s Head, past the lighthouse. What a ride, I’ll admit some parts were a bit bumpy but nothing the Cruz couldn’t handle. And the views when I got there were amazing.

Another great thing I like about riding the Xootr is the look on all the adults faces that are passing you who are either walking or riding a bike (*yawn*). They always do a double take.

Because the Xootr does not look like a regular scooter or a kids scooter. It’s the Rolls Royce of scooters. It's super comfortable to ride because of the wide Birchwood deck and it’s taller all because it’s designed for adults. Even the cool kids on their stunt scooters take a second look.

When you hit a slight down slope, be warned this bad boy really picks up the pace. I often get asked if it’s an electric scooter because it does go quickly without even having to kick. My reaction to that comment is “Nope, it’s a Xootr”.

Anyways, if ever you are heading to Newcastle throw the Xootr in the back and take a smooth ride along Honeysuckle Drive up to Nobby’s Head. It’s an awesome ride, and don’t forget to stop for an icecream as well. It’s a great reward after all that ‘Cruz’ing.
