My new best friend - my Xootr (by Katrina)

Myself and my young daughter were moving cities so I could join the cast of the new musical ‘Come From Away’ which was to premiere here in Melbourne from July this year. I was looking for a scooter so I could explore our new city together when I came across the Mother’s Day ‘Win a red Dash Xootr’ Competition. I won it!

From the first day, it became extremely useful in getting around. I scooted up to my new favourite coffee shop (Duke’s, Flinders Lane - such delicious coffee) and then folded up my Xootr to hop on the 59 tram to the rehearsal venue. I even used it at the venue, Ministry of Dance, which is a huge warehouse sized space.

Then moving in to our beautiful Comedy Theatre, my trips to and from home were even quicker and even more fun on the Xootr.

I can navigate the busy footpaths with ease. It’s so low to the ground, you just step down and walk if there are crowds and it folds up super easily to sit in my dressing room during the show. So much easier than a bike which I imagined I would be using.

I use it a lot with my little girl on weekends, getting over to her swimming lessons.

It’s so light weight but feels really sturdy and I’m loving the two brakes. I recently used my husband’s old scooter- so rickety! I’m going to have to gift him a Xootr!

Thanks so much Xootr for my red Dash. I love it!

Oh and the coat check of the Comedy Theatre will happily accommodate any Xootrs should you scoot to our show!

Katrina won her Xootr Dash in our Mothers Day comp. and we asked her to write about her experience with her little machine.

Katrina is currently starring in the Melbourne production of 'Come From Away' which is getting rave reviews.
